Quebec is a large area that is packed full of outdoor activities and rife with wildlife. There are dirt trails that turn to snow trails in winter, and although not all are dog friendly, some of the beaches, which include river and lakeside beaches, do allow dogs and their humans. Typically, owners are expected to keep their dogs on a leash, although there are some exceptions to this. And, if you do want to let your pup run free, there are dedicated, fenced dog parks.

Below are 6 dog-friendly beaches in Quebec, but do note that opening hours are liable to change according to the season and prevailing weather conditions.

Conclusion

Considering the size of Quebec, the list of dog-friendly beaches is quite short, but you can also find dedicated dog parks and plenty of hiking and outdoor trails where well-behaved dogs are permitted on a leash. Always check before travelling, be courteous when walking your dog, and make sure that you pick up any litter and mess after you.
